W LOW VOLTAGE

HIGH OUTPUT RANGE

Brook Crompton’s W low voltage, high output motors cover 200 kW to 3000 kW in cast-iron frame sizes 315 to 710, available in 2, 4, 6 and 8 pole designs for major industrial drives. Designed to IEC 60034 and built for IC411 cooling with 400/690 V 50/60 Hz supplies, this range delivers high power density and reliable performance in demanding safe-area applications.

Brook Crompton high-output cast iron electric motor for heavy-duty

These motors are engineered for critical process duties where robustness, efficiency and uptime are essential, using heavy cast-iron construction, Class F insulation with Class B temperature rise and IP55-IP65 enclosure options. W low voltage, high output machines follow the same “Keeping Industry Turning” design philosophy as the wider W range, backed by ISO 9001 quality systems and Brook Crompton’s global support network.

WHY SPECIFY LOW VOLTAGE HIGHOUTPUT

KEY BENEFITS OF LV HIGH OUTPUT MOTORS

High power-to-weight ratio

Optimised electromagnetic and mechanical design delivers high outputs from relatively compact IEC frames, helping reduce footprint and structural requirements.

Optimised performance and cooling

An improved IC411 cooling system supports high continuous ratings with low temperature rise, enabling reliable operation even on heavy-duty process drives.

Reduced noise and bearing temperatures

The design targets low noise levels and low bearing temperatures, improving operator comfort and extending bearing life in continuous service.

Flexible terminal box positioning

Multi-position terminal boxes make cable routing easier on large installations and simplify on-site connection changes or retrofits.

Easy customisation and accessories

The range is designed for straightforward adaptation with add-on accessories so motors can be tailored to specific industry or project requirements.

Inverter-drive suitability

Motors are suitable for use with inverter drives, with defined constant-torque and variable-torque derating characteristics to support variable-speed operation.
