Electric Motor Rewinds

Full stator and rotor rewinds for single and three-phase AC/DC motors, using Class F or H insulation and vacuum pressure impregnation for maximum durability. Coils are stripped, re-insulated, rewound, varnish-dipped and over-cured before final test and run

Motor efficiency testing in workshop

Precision Machining

CNC and manual machining for shaft reclamation, end-shield and housing repairs, keyways and custom components. Worn journals are rebuilt and machined back to tolerance to extend motor life and ensure correct bearing fits.

Dynamic Balancing

In-house dynamic balancing of rotors, armatures and fans to ISO 21940 G grades (typically G2.5 for electric motors), reducing vibration, bearing wear and noise while improving overall efficiency.

Industrial motor supply chain management

Pump Repairs

Overhaul and testing for centrifugal, submersible, and vacuum pumps. Impeller, shafts, seals and bearings are inspected, repaired or replaced, then hydro-tested to confirm flow and pressure before return to site.

Gearbox Refurbishment

Full strip-down, inspection and rebuild of industrial gearboxes connected to your motors. Worn gears, shaft and bearings are replaced with genuine or high-quality parts, with precise setting of backlash and contact patterns for reliable long-term operations

Industrial motor ready for urgent dispatch

Condition Monitoring

On-site vibration and condition monitoring to detect bearing wear, misalignment and electrical imbalances in motors and driven equipment. Trend analysis allows issues to be corrected before faiure, supporting a planned, zero-downtime maintenance strategy.

Why Choose
Repair Over Replacement?

Repairing a Brook Crompton motor can often be the fastest and most cost-effective way to get your plant running again, especially on larger or specialised units. A correctly executedrewind and overhaul typically restores the motor to original performance, while modern insulation and balancing practices can even improve efficiency and reliability compared with original build.

Quality-controlled process

Every repair follows a documented procedure: strip, inspect, test, rewind or machine where required, dynamically balance, reassemble and run-test. Detailed reports and test results are available on request.

Fast Turnaround

Emergency breakdowns can be handled on a 24/7 basis where required, with collections arranged from site, rapid assessment and clear recommendations on repair vs replacement.

Brook Crompton expertise

As Brook Crompton specialists, we understand the original designs, frame sizes and performance characteristics, so repaired motors are correctly specified and aligned with the rest of your installed based.
